Cork City Council presents another spectaclar Christmas in Cork City, 2024
The Corkmas Christmas parade will mark the beginning of the most wonderful time of the year - when the city fills with life, light and joy in anticipation of Christmas. Along with the Ferris Wheel, Christmas Lights, the markets and the festive events to be seen on these pages, for the first time Cork will host a parade - of light, music and fun - to herald the weeks in advance of the Big Day.
Taking place on Friday November 15, the inaugural parade will include music, dance, light and sparkle with a very special visit from Santa Claus, who will take a break from his very busy schedule to bring his sleigh for a drive through Cork city.
The Corkmas Parade will begin on North Main St at 6.30pm, travelling via Washington St. and Grand Parade to Patrick's St., after which *some* elements will proceed to MacCurtain St., finishing at The Everyman theatre.

Transforming the skyline and offering unparalleled views of the surrounding area, the much-loved and iconic 32m Panoramic Wheel brings to Cork some very welcome festive cheer. Or, closer to the ground for our smaller guests, take a ride on the classic Carousel.

The Ferris Wheel and Carousel will again be situated on Grand Parade, and open on the following dates:
- November 29th to December 1st
- December 5th to 8th inclusive
- December 11th to 15th inclusive
- December 18th to 23rd
- December 26th to 30th inclusive
Santa in Cork
Opens Saturday 23rd November, then Sunday 24th and each Friday-to-Sunday thereafter until the 22nd December
Times:
- Friday: 4pm – 8pm
- Saturday: 11am – 8pm
- Sunday: 11am – 7.30pm
A visit to the Corkmas Santa Experience must be pre-booked in advance. The ticket includes an age-appropriate gift, with an optional photo at an extra small cost
