Mid-term break is made for family fun and although Easter is not far away it is still a great opportunity to spend some quality time with your kids.

Westport House is back open
Westport House is open for mid-term break until Sunday from 10:00am to 4:00pm. And even better news, kids go FREE this week! Also, the Westport Train Tour will run on Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 4pm. http://www.westporthouse.ie/
Looking for something to do with the kids on mid-term in Kerry? Why not call to Crazy Cave. The Kingdoms No.1 House of Fun! Crazy Cave is a large children’s softplay indoor & outdoor adventure centre. It is a three tiered play area with mega astra slides, ball pools, spiral slides, funball battle cannons, rodeo bull, climbing wall and much much more.They are open tomorrow and Friday from 10am and is a great place if ther weather turn against you. http://www.cragcave.com/
Aure Leisure Centres - It might be too cold for the beach but an indoor family swim is a great way to spend the afternoon. Help your kids stay creative and learn in a fun and interesting way during mid term. Pirate Village have extended opening hours during mid-term week
Pirates Village is an adventure play-zone for kids under 10. It is a pirate themed indoor playground located at Liffey Valley Shopping Centre. Thursday 11am-6pm; Friday 11am-7pm; Saturday 11am-7pm; Sunday 11am-7pm http://www.piratesvillage.ie/
Imaginosity, Ireland's only interactive children's museum for the under 9's is dedicated to children's success. They are open all day but places are filing up fast so if you are planning a visit over the next few days of mid-term please book in advance to avoid any disappointment! http://www.imaginosity.ie/

Sacred Scarab Workshop

Ancient Egyptians believed that scarab beetles represented their sun god Ra on earth. See a sacred scarab beetle on a real Egyptian mummy and make your own clay beetle to take home.

Join Lisa Flanagan for a St. Valentine’s Day themed workshop exploring the romantic connections of objects in the Museum’s collections. Learn the secret language of the fan and find out about the traditions of Claddagh rings and Hurling balls. Then have a go at making your own fan or love token to bring home!
