Are you feeling brave?
Children love an adventurous day out...but will you join them?
Visiting an indoor play centre or joining in the fun at a pet farm is one thing, but what are you going to say when your child wants to try a zip line that's 300 metres long and 35 metres high over trees, lakes and a bridge?
Adventure tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors in Ireland, so it won't be long before you are asked the question. New Zealand used to be the place people though of when discussing adventure sports but we must rival them now with the quantity and quality on offer.
Although we don't have anything to rival the 134 metre bungee jump above the raging waters of the Nevis River in Queenstown.
And I hope we never do!
Safety is a priority in all of these venues, so it likely that some activities have a minimum age requirement so it is important to check before you travel. There is nothing worse than telling to a child that they cannot do something after a long car journey to, eh, do something. That's where YourDaysOut can help.
If you search on YourDaysOut you will find over three hundred different adventure ideas in Ireland ranging from trampoline parks to water slides, from high ropes courses to leap-of-faiths. (Don't ask, you probably won't like the answer).
