Riverwatch is a great place for families to have some quality time with the kids and learn about the local environment. Its also a great great educational resource for schools, full of local information on the Foyle and Carlingford catchments. We also are a tourist attraction and a great place to discover the wonderful biodiversity of local waterways. We also welcome community groups to learn, engage and have fun.
With FREE admission and great parking it's a "must do" for all.
The aquariums represent the freshwater and marine species native to our own waters. So if you have every wondered what lives beneath the surface, then Riverwatch can be your window to a wonderful underwater world.
We have lobster, crabs, starfish, coalfish, blenny’s and lots of other unusual marine fish and crustaceans in our lough life and seashore life tanks. Come and see salmon, sticklebacks, minnows, roach and other freshwater fish in the stream life, lake life and pond life tanks.
And, we are continually changing our livestock so it’s always worth another trip!
